I'm so excited to share with you that I launched another Kickstarter today to fund the printing for my next two books (pictured below)!  I would be extremely grateful for your support. Frankly, printing two books is costly and I need all the help I can get.

This has been an eventful week, to put it mildly. My husband was in Cali for a week, he got in at 1am Friday morning, I left at 5am Friday morning with Adelyn and my oldest son, Conner, headed to Florida. We spent the whole weekend shopping for and moving Conner into his dorm room at Florida Tech. 🥺❤️😭

On Monday at 5am, Adelyn and I boarded a flight to New Jersey. On Thursday last week I learned that my books would arrive to the warehouse on Monday morning, so I changed my flights to fly directly to NJ, where I intended to rent a car, load up a pallett of books, and drive them home. However, when we landed in Miami for our connecting flight, I discovered that the airline broke my daughter’s car seat, which made it unusable. Which meant Addy and I would be stranded at the Newark airport. 

I called my husband hysterical from Miami and he got in the car to drive the five hours to NJ to save us. We waited for two hours in baggage claim for him to arrive after we’d landed, but I was so relieved that he canceled his meetings to drive 11 hours roundtrip for me. ❤️

So we got home around 10pm and at midnight that night, my book was officially released on Amazon. (Tuesday) 😍😍

It was *never* my intention to have college move-in, book pickup/shipping and book launch collide the way they did, but I’m doing my best with the cards we’ve been dealt. 😅 Try and be patient with me as I het these books packed and shipped to you! 🥰

I’m currently packing and shipping orders!! I’ll have about 300 or so orders ready to go out tomorrow morning and it’s my intention to have the remaining orders follow on Friday!

The books are so, so beautiful - I’m so happy with the quality!! I surely hope you love them! I’m really so grateful for your support … and your patience. I hope they’re worth the wait. ❤️

Update!

Thank you for your patience - it has been a long, long time since my Kickstarter. I'm so grateful for your support and so sorry this process is taking so much longer than I expected it to. The shipment is still... on the way. I don't have the books in hand, yet. 

They were held up for a few days at the port on the West Coast and are now expected to port late this week/this weekend on the East Coast. Once the get clear through customs, they'll get put on a truck. Once they're on the truck, the warehouse will be informed of a delivery date and they'll let me know - I'll be there the day the shipment arrives to bring back all the books for my Kickstarter and I'll start fulfilling orders immediately.

I'm nervous, at this point, to say any specific date for obviously reasons! But... very soon! I can almost hear the crack of the spine when you open a book for the first time :) 

Book launch week!

In anticipation for my books arriving, I scheduled my "release" on Amazon for August 17th - figuring that would be plenty of time for backers to receive their books before officially "publishing" on Amazon. I'm sincerely hoping that's the case, and that you will all receive your hardcover books well before the eBook and print-on-demand paperback books are available on Amazon the 17th. (I'm not able to push back the release, I already did that once.)

I know many, likely most, of you backed my project in an effort to support me and my dream to see this book published. And so, it's very humbly and with the realization that I'm asking a lot - particularly after the delays with printing - that I ask for one more favor...

Launch week on Amazon is a BIG DEAL. The moment I hit "publish", Amazon wants to see a flood of people fighting their way to my product listing. Traffic, reviews and purchases are the three things that will tell Amazon "our customers WANT THIS product", And so, I'm asking for a BIG favor - on the 17th, or the week of, please go to Amazon and leave an honest review of my book! ❤️

Hello!!

I have news! My shipment of books left China ~June 11th ... it takes 40 days, on average to travel from China to the US (East coast) and, with any luck, they get right through customs 🤞🏼. 

So... I'm expecting them, in hand, sometime between July 21-28th. At which point, I will drive up to the warehouse (where the bulk of my books will be store and shipped from) in New Jersey, fill my mom-mobile up with books that I'll sign, package and ship immediately! 

I'll try and coordinate with the warehousing company to be there the day, or day after, they receive them.

I'm so terribly sorry for the delays. It's *killing me* to have to wait- and have all my generous and supportive Kickstarter backers waiting. I said "MAY DELIVERY", after all, which was a conservative (or so I thought), estimate.  😫

Anyway, I'm grateful for your patience and riding this out with me. I'm really so excited to finally get my hands on more than just the sample and I hope you love it. ❤️

And, just in case you came here for the baby pics, I wont disappoint you. :) Adelyn is 4 months old now and is just the happiest little baby. We needed her. ❤️❤️

Before I let you go... I've had so many people ask about changing their address before I ship ... I will be sending out a "last chance to update your address before I ship!" email soon, so look out for that!

When The Sky Roars update!

Hi again! 

I can't believe it's been a month since my last update! Life has been... chaotic. I'm going to be straight with you, we're a little behind schedule. Behind the scenes, I needed to revise the files twice before they were accepted by the printer and, well, with the time difference and such, those hiccups just really slowed things down. When I put together my initial timeline, my conservative calculations pointed to receiving the books and shipping them to backers in May. But, unfortunately, we're looking at June... possibly July (depending on how long the travel by sea from China to the US takes, it fluctuates). I'm so disappointed about the delays and I'm truly sorry that I'm having to deliver this news.

The good news, however, is that today I received my physical sample from the printer and it's ... perfect!!! I'm so, so happy with the quality and the colors - it's exactly what I hoped for. I have to admit that I feel so proud of this book. It wasn't easy to complete it... especially towards the end of my pregnancy when I was just insanely uncomfortable and exhausted. I'm really happy with how it turned out and I sincerely hope you love it when you get yours copy/copies over the summer. <3 

Baby Adelyn is 2.5 months old now and we're all completely in love! She's really starting to show her (very) sweet personality! Scroll to the bottom for pics. ;)

I'm still waiting for survey responses from 12% of backers O_O. Without this information, I will not be able to ship your rewards. PLEASE get that info to me ASAP.
